Chisholm has passed onto rainbow bridge, but He was such an exceptional dog, I could not bring myself to take his page down. Chisholm was the compete package in a retriever! He had the body of a champion and the drive of a locomotive when it came to retrieving. He was sedge in color. As a puppy Chisholm demonstrated a strong love for the water and was birdy. Chisholm was born in April 2001 by BISS Int./Am. *CH. Chestnut Hills James Bowie CD ex CH. Pond Hollow Belle Starr JH, WD. When Chisholm was six weeks old, a new born bird had attempted to leave the nest and was unsuccessful in it's first flight. Secluded in some underbrush, Chishom happened upon it . The startled bird took fleet. The chase was on, Chisholm took off after it and chased it all around our pool, finally catching it where He had began from. It was at this time, I knew He would be a great retriever. Later in training, Chisholm took to water like a duck, demonstrating that same strong retrieving drive. We began showing him in conformation and at 11 months plus, He took his first major going Best of Breed over Specials. Chisholm finished his conformation title in 2003, receiving five major wins. Chisholm has two passes towards his Junior Hunter title and has his WD Title. Chisholm's sire, CH.*Chestnut Hills James Bowie CD, was the 2003 Westminster Breed Winner, 2003 AKC Eukanuba National Championship Breed Winner, 2003 Number One All-Breed Group Placing Chesapeake, and 2003 Pedigree Top Producer, stud dog.
